Aubigny Communal Cemetery Extension - The grave of Lt. Ashwin RAF as photographed by Ada. The Salvation Army Sister may be tending the adjacent grave identified from the original photograph as that of Pte John Sidney Slade of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry, died 14th Sept 1918.

The cemetery extension was designed by Sir Reginald Blomfield.

Dainville is a small cemetery located on the outskirts of a village near Arras, a tranquil setting with poppies flowering in the adjacent fields.

The photograph above shows that it was visited by Salvation Army personnel on War Graves Service, probably from their base in Arras.
